The Future of Smoking

People have been smoking in the western world for many hundreds of years, and the habit goes back even further than that in North America, for example. It’s a habit enjoyed by at least 10 million people in the UK, and whilst the number of smokers in Britain is falling, around the world smokers are on the rise.
This begs the question, what is the future of smoking?
In the 1960s as link was suggested between various diseases and smoking. Over the subsequent decades this link has been proven, and smoking is now implicated as one of the main causes of cancer. It’s reckoned that around 50% of all smokers will die of cancer.
The link between smoking and cancer is undoubtedly the most significant aspect in the history of smoking. Smoking is no longer considered a mainstream thing to do, and medical professionals would say that it’s quite an irresponsible thing to do. Governments agree, which is why in the UK and many other countries there is a ban on smoking in public spaces.
If smoking is to survive as a past-time then it needs to change. In fact, the habit is beginning to change already, especially with the advent of electronic cigarettes. You don’t technically smoke e cigarettes rather inhale a nicotine laced vapour, which delivers a very similar experience to smoking proper, without the health implications.
You can buy an electronic cigarette online, and look for online reviews to help you decide which is the best electronic cigarette.

Consumers are heading online to source classy birthday gifts

There are lots of products available for consumers to choose from when they want to source birthday gifts, but many of these simply don’t hit the mark. Discerning individuals often want to achieve the wow-factor with the presents they hand over and so it’s important that they know where to look.
Thankfully, by heading online and choosing a suitable website, people can source an impressive array of products, including designer home accessories.
One woman who was no doubt showered with classy birthday gifts recently was actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The glamorous blonde turned 40 and, following celebrations in Italy and London, she got together with friends and family at a New York eatery.
Among those on the guest list were hubby Chris Martin, singer Beyonce and Paltrow’s actress mum Blythe Danner. As if that were not enough, it was reported that other famous faces including Steven Spielberg, Ethan Hawke, Jessica Seinfeld, Chelsea Handler, Jake Gyllenhaal and Kristen Wiig also attended the meal.
With so many A-listers in-tow, lots of impressive birthday presents must have been handed over.
Meanwhile, according to US Weekly, the revellers ate chocolate cake, drank and “mingled to a low-key, lounge-like piano soundtrack”.
Before she arrived at the restaurant, Paltrow reportedly got ready with fellow 40-year-old Cameron Diaz. About this, a source told the magazine: “They are really fun and close. They were having a great time getting ready for the party. There were lots of laughs.”
When consumers use the internet to source luxury home accessories as gifts, they can benefit from total convenience.

Top Favourite Musicals at the London Theatres

This is the season to head for the London theatre district and a splendid offering of the best in musicals. There is something to satisfy every fan of every genre. Let's begin with The Lion King at the Piccadilly where the Disney classic comes to life on stage once again. The music of Elton John also comes to life in Billy Elliot, which tells the story of a boy and his love for ballet. At Her Majesty's Theatre, the epic production of The Phantom of the Opera still terrorizes the Paris Opera and thrills the fans, who are also thrilled by the tribute to the late Michael Jackson, called Thriller - Live.

The witches are all too real in Wicked, playing at the Apollo Victoria. At the Prince of Wales, audiences tap their feet and clap their hands for Mamma Mia! The movie was a smash and the musical is even better, say the critics. Another movie turned stage hit is Shrek the Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane where audiences warm to the friendly green giant. For a great mix of drums, music, and modern dance, there is Stomp, and for a step back into time, there is the Victor Hugo masterpiece that has been transformed into the timeless Les Miserables.

The fans who prefers the modern touch should go to the Prince Edward theatre, which is presenting the harmony group known as Jersey Boys. Another winner and one of the most popular of musicals on the London scene is We Will Rock You, which takes place in a world of the future where music is banned. Also, another musical that is highly popular is Matilda, based on Ronald Dahl's classic children's book.

When the musical comedy fan has exhausted all that the London theatre district has to offer, there is still another special one on the way. Coming to London in the spring of 2013 is The Book of Mormon, the Broadway sensation and winner of nine Tony awards. It tells of two young Mormon missionaries and their mission in Uganda. If you’re a fan of musicals and know that you will be in London in the spring, you can find
Book of Mormon tickets on sale right now!
